Lighting Demo

Three Point Lighting: Allows the photographer to illuminate the subject while controlling the shadows and background lights. Three point uses three lights: Key light, Fill light and Back light. The key light shines directly on the subject and is the main illuminator. The fill light shines on the subject normally from a side angle and is lower than the key light. It is softer than the key light and helps rid the face of any harsh shadows cast upon the face. Back light shines from behind the subject on one side or the other. It separates the subject from the background.

Rembrandt Lighting: A technique using a key light on the subject and a reflector or fill light on the other side of the subject. Provides a natural looking light and is characterized by the triangle of light under the eye.
